Zimbabwe Motor Distributors (ZMD) was started in 1981 as one of the first indigenous owned company to be awarded a dealership of a leading franchise from General Motors for the sole distribution of AWD Bedford Trucks in Zimbabwe and had distributed over 3500 Bedford trucks, Since then the company has grown from strength to strength to become one of the leading fleet maintenance service providers in Zimbabwe. Over 4500 units were distributed over the years.

Founding Member
Zimbabwe Motor Distributors (ZMD) was started in 1981, under the leadership of the late Mr. T.M. Musariri. He served on many boards e.g. as Chairman of Zimbabwe National Water Authority (Z.N.W.A), Chairman Zimbabwe Development Corporation (Z.D.C), Chairman of the City of Harare Finance Committee, Chairman of (ZIMASCO). His leadership legacy and passion for excellence still lives on.
Mr. T.T. Musariri
Managing Director
Mr. Musariri holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration (Butler University, USA), He joined M&M Motors after completing college in 1994 as Operations Manager running the vehicle dealership for a wide range of vehicles such as Mazda. He bought majority of ZMD shareholding in 2004 and is spearheading the revival of ZMD as a major contender in the Motor Industry in Zimbabwe. He is also Director of Musariri Investments & Hwange Safaris.
